Paul Betenly, an English tailor, started his business in Milan, Italy in 1981. He earned respect from the clothing nobility of Milan with his products. We continue his pursuit of excellence through this “old world” foundation of our tailored clothing.
Paul Betenly uses the most advanced technological methods in combination with old world tailoring skills to provide the modern man with tailored clothing that is consistent with the quality philosophy of its founder.

PHILOSOPHY + STORY
Our business model as a vertical company is very unique in the world of menswear. We control every aspect of our product development. This begins with our own sheep farms in Australia and New Zealand. We produce our own virgin wool, spin it into our own premium yarns, weave it into our own luxurious fabrics, and then produce it in our own state-of-the art factory. Very few other tailored clothing brands can make this statement. This gives us maximum control in the production of our clothing, as well as creating significant efficiencies which allow us to produce very high quality clothing at a very reasonable price.
From the lush grasslands used for sheep grazing, to the hi tech yarn spinning and fabric weaving, to our hand finished garments - all of these components are carefully monitored to ensure our garments reflect the high quality standards established for Paul Betenly.

A GLOBAL BRAND
Paul Betenly is truly an international brand. The creative process begins in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles where we design our products, based on our international research as well as our specific understanding of the needs of our Canadian clients.
Our fabric design team is based in Milan, where they take our creative ideas to develop the yarn and fabric specifications. These are then given to our state-of-the art production facilities in China where we utilize the best global technology available. Machinery comes from Italy, Germany, Japan and other countries worldwide where there is expertise in the manufacturing of quality tailored clothing. Many of our factory managers have their roots in German or Italian factories.
